Oshkosh Wine Gift Delivery Tips
AirVenture week
The late-July fly-in brings hundreds of thousands of visitors. Hotels and roads are packed, so order early or send another week.
College students
Most UW Oshkosh students are under 21, and wine can only be delivered to someone 21 or older with ID. Wine gifts are better for faculty, staff, parents and graduates.
Lake homes
Many lake homes are summer places, and wine can't be delivered to a boat or pier. Confirm the recipient will be there and use the street address.
Winter cold
Wisconsin winters bring snow and below-zero days that can slow deliveries and freeze wine left outside. Pick a day when someone 21 or older will be home to sign and bring it in.
Hospitals
Aurora Medical Center Oshkosh and Ascension Mercy may not accept alcohol for patients. Send to the recipient's home instead.
Duplexes and flats
Many homes are two-family duplexes or upper and lower flats. Include the upper or lower unit and pick a day when someone will be home.
