Eau Claire Wine Gift Delivery Tips
College students
Most UW–Eau Claire students are under 21, and wine can only be delivered to someone 21 or older with ID. Wine gifts are better for faculty, staff, parents and graduates.
Winter cold
Wisconsin winters bring snow and below-zero days that can slow deliveries and freeze wine left outside. Pick a day when someone 21 or older will be home to sign and bring it in.
Hospitals
Mayo Clinic Health System and Marshfield Medical Center may not accept alcohol for patients. Send to the recipient's home instead.
Lake homes
Many lake homes are summer places, and wine can't be delivered to a boat or pier. Confirm the recipient will be there and use the street address.
Rural addresses
Homes outside town are on county roads. Use the full street address and include a phone number.
Duplexes and flats
Many homes are two-family duplexes or upper and lower flats. Include the upper or lower unit and pick a day when someone will be home.
